Climate Investor Forum 2025

The inaugural Climate Investor Forum created a landmark event that is destined to be one of the key climate investment events on the global calendar.

Globally, we are seeing an unprecedented flow of funds into climate action. The whole ecosystem of investors and financiers: pension and superfunds, VCs, private equity, banks, family offices, high net worth individuals, sovereign wealth funds, government agencies and corporate investors are actively allocating funds to emission reduction and avoidance projects, companies and initiatives.

At the same time, we are seeing a global entrepreneurial phenomenon with new business models, innovations, projects and technologies coming to market in a rapid proliferation of solutions with untapped climate impact potential.

The Climate Investor Forum showcases world class investment ready companies covering the key sectors of energy, carbon, circular economy, mobility, agriculture, the blue economy and infrastructure.

Peter Castellas, CEO and Founder, Climate Zeitgeist

Throughout Peter’s career he has worked at the leading edge of the climate change and sustainable development agenda and have advised, influenced, and guided key decision makers at the highest levels of business, finance and government.  Peter is CEO of Climate Zeitgeist, a company he founded to work with key partners in finance and investment to accelerate meaningful action on change at scale.

Peter was previously CEO of Tasman Environmental Markets where he led the company to become a one of the largest voluntary integrated carbon offset providers in the Asia Pacific. Previous roles include CEO of the Carbon Market Institute, where he led the organisation to be the peak business association for companies operating in the climate change and business interface.  He was also a Director at Deloitte in Corporate Finance and Sustainability, Managing Director of Cleantech Australasia and the first Sustainability Advisor for the Commonwealth Bank. Peter graduated with a Bachelor of Education in Environmental Studies and the first class he taught over 30 years ago was on the Greenhouse Effect.

Michele Hartz, Project Director, Climate Zeitgeist

Michele has been instrumental in leading various sustainability initiatives advising in corporate sustainability management, strategic market and business development and wholisitc impact analysis.

Michele’s eco-entrepeneural journey began at 17 in the USA when she operated the first recycling collection business in her area transporting to early recyclers located interstate.  Now, with close to 20 years experience and previous Director of E-Coefficient, she has provided strategic corporate sustainability and Impact 4 Good advisory to a range of multi-level stakeholders including clean tech startups, state governments, Big 4 banks, top Australian Universities, and private entities.

Michele is an active board member and has served on a number of committees including Women’s Association of South East Melbourne, Community of Practice through EIANZ, committee with the Victorian Multicultural Commission, and Greening The Desert.

Tragic surfer, even more tragic guitar player, yogi enthusiast, passionate mom, and desitiny driven language and culture enthusiasts – it’s about fun and connection- even if its just hello!

Jai Felinski, Project Director – Climate Solutions and Partnerships, Climate Zeitgeist

Jai Felinski is a boundary-pushing founder, advisor, and investor with a serious passion for impact, innovation, and respecting our planet. With experience spanning software, alternative proteins, e-commerce, sustainability, and medicinal cannabis, Jai has worn many hats—always driving bold, meaningful change.

From locking in a Shark Tank deal with Naomi Simson to steering a sustainable coffee e-commerce business to a successful exit, Jai thrives on shaking things up and embracing daring ideas. He has managed the operations of a fast-growing, patient-focused medicinal cannabis startup and won over the minds of the UN World Food Programme with a novel alternative protein product.

Jai is now laser-focused on helping climate-focused startups succeed through an investment lens and has participated in AirTree’s Angel Investing Explorer program and the recent StartMate Climate Tech Fellowship. As an Advisory Board Member at Clear Neutral, Jai helps reduce emissions in the diamond industry by verifying lab-grown diamonds as carbon neutral.

When not shaking things up in the startup world, you’ll find Jai soaking up nature, camping, or diving into the ocean. He believes that by blending sustainability with finance, we can truly reshape the world for the better.
